The house is no more than six minutes walk from the town centre, 4 minutes from the Pelgrim Welcome centre, and 5 minutes from the Tourist Office....

There is no private parking as such, but the street is very quiet, effectively a cul de sac, and the parking is free and uncontrolled....

The Basque name of the house, ‘Errecaldia,’ means ‘river view’, but unfortunately since it’s construction in 1673 events have overtaken names. The views from the terrace across the valley, the town of St Jean Pied de Port and to the Irouleguy vineyards on the hill of Arradoy are stunning, but the river itself is now obscured by various buildings.

The Sunrise Room
 Equipped with a very comfortable double bed with the North facing window having a superb view across the town and the vineyards on mount Arradoy. The East facing window gives wonderful views of the early morning sun rising over the mountains.
